Workshop: Developing Character, Voice and Relationship in romantic fiction
This full day workshop begins with a discussion about the romance writing industry. We’ll talk tropes, genres within genre, markets and publishers.
Following the discussion, we’ll launch into the three planned stages of instruction and experimentation. During this workshop participants will learn ways to support the developments of their characters, both lead and supporting. Secondly, we’ll dive deep into fleshing out the character’s voice so that it stays consistent throughout the book and/or series, and finally Rayanne discuss ways writers can develop character relationships in their novel. Writing activities will be provided for each section and participants will be encouraged to share their writing.
