Programs and Services

Writers write. They also talk, share and learn from each other.

The Alberta Branch of the Canadian Authors Association encourages community among writers, both emerging and established. We provide a national voice, monthly meetings and workshop opportunities that allow Albertans to engage with acclaimed authors from across Canada. We provide a safe and constructive peer review forum for reading those often delicate works-in-progress. We also have a Writer in Residence who is happy to read and discuss your manuscripts.

On the business side, the Alberta Branch promotes paid opportunities for writers as workshop facilitators, school presenters, newsletter contributors and writers in residence.

A community of fellow writers, opportunities for professional development, and a national voice. It doesn’t get much better than that. Check us out.
